Today has been a day of unconditional happiness for me. In fact, the past one month has been very good. I have been granted happiness in the manner I had wanted. No questioning, no bargaining but exactly the way I wanted it.
It is hard to get happiness in the way you want. This is because each time a person becomes selective about the kind of happiness he wants, he breaks the infinite sample space of happiness that God had created and targets a finite subset that matches his selection. This subset, obviously being smaller than the sample space, dramatically reduces the probability of getting happiness in your own way.
Well I have been lucky enough to have this sort of happiness come my way this month. First, I got through Microsoft, Hyderabad. Then, I managed to crack CAT, arguably the most difficult test in India. And although the significance of these outcomes would be judged with time, I am happy and content with them. My faith in my abilities, that had been taking a pounding for a while, now stands restored. My faith in my fate also stands reassured.
I know everyone gets his due share in this lifetime. It is a part of God's algorithm to be fair to everyone. But it is nice to find out I got a chunk of that share, sooner than later. God's algorithm is working with clockwork precision :)
